Ay, Rachel..So this isn't the great visual of it ..But close up it looks like you have multiple rings in your septum or a funky ring..Where did you get it?! if you can remember..

Wed, September 9, 2009 - 7:14 PMIm THINKING that she doesn't have it double pierced or streched..Simply because in all the oldish and recent photos of her it looks like she has in your standard lone 16g ring..And septums close up pretty quickly if you dont keep it in for a while..i dont know..My brain is spinning.. -

Thu, September 10, 2009 - 8:55 AMIve got mine stretched to a 12g, and have for about 12 years... I can take mine out for days, weeks and not have it close up at all. so, perhaps she just put the super thin one in with a smaller "other" ring.
I'd say... perhaps a 16g with a 20g...
OR she just used a hoop and clipped it on... -

Thu, September 10, 2009 - 1:46 PMThats what i was saying..It will close up if you dont have it in for a while..and 12 years is a long while so i wouldnt expect for that to close.. But none of her other photos have 2 rings...it could be a clip. -

Fri, September 18, 2009 - 8:27 AMmy septum is a 6g and if i wear a Kaos earskin in it I can easily fit an abundance of 16g rings through the tunnel. i don't know if this is what she does with hers, but it IS pretty easy to wear a smaller gauge CBR for an unlimited amount of time in a larger gauge septum piercing, with the use of some sort of tunnel.

Wed, September 9, 2009 - 9:12 PMYes it does look like two, but like previously stated it may be a stretched hole with two in it or two different piercings. I've stretched my own to 14g. I want to venture to say that the silver ring looks larger, set back a bit further and set higher than the smaller gold one, so maybe it is two different piercings. I dunno, hopefully she'll answer you when she has time. :-)

mines 10ga, soon to be 8ga, but i have to stop there, because they dont sell 3/8" diameter jewelry any bigger than 8ga, and i look terrible with any larger diameter than that! it just hangs too low, and looks out of proportion with my face! -

Sun, September 20, 2009 - 7:09 PMGlasswear Studios makes glass septum pinchers in an assortment of colors with diameters of 3/8" AND 5/16" (you have to get the 5/16" ones directly through them: glasswearstudios.com)...I just got a 6g ruby pincher with the 5/16" diameter and it's the perfect size.
Also, a lot of Tawapa's wooden and bone pinchers have small (3/8" or less) diameters. You can get them through bodyartforms.com :)

Mon, September 21, 2009 - 9:47 PMnot-so-related... I have not worn my septum ring in about a year, but can still fit a 20g in there. Whenever I get into the septum-ring-mood, I just get my piercer to taper an 18g gold captive in there for me. I DID wear the piercing for about 3 years before I took it out. Maybe that's the difference.
As for Rachel.... that's a pretty ballzy look. She wears it great though. If I had to guess, I would say the easiest way to obtain the look is to just stretch. But, then again, I'm kind of a wimp.
