I'm flying on another plane.
I got another show in a few hours.
I'm slepping in another hotel room... tonight.
I got places to go and people to see.
I'm trying hard to remember some names.
I'm sleeping in another hotel room... tonight.
And who do you fall back on,
when this road... gets a bit lonely?
Who do you fall back on?
I got my whole damn life packed in two bags.
I got everything else in my carry-on.
I'm sleeping in another hotel room... tonight.
I'm riding in a cab, in another city,
and dim street lights wash my tired face pretty.
I'm sleeping in another hotel room... tonight.
And who do you fall back on,
when this road gets a bit lonely?
Who do you fall back on?
I take off my jacket and kick off my boots.
I throw on some tassels and some assuit.
I'm getting ready in another hotel room... tonight.
I got a brand new costume that I'm wearing.
There's a brand new stranger that is staring,
at me in the mirror of this hotel room... tonight.
And who do you fall back on,
when this road gets a bit lonely?
Who do you fall back on?
The show is over. Time to sober up.
Gotta hop in the shower & wash of this make-up.
I'm sleeping in another hotel room... tonight.
The alarm's going off in less than six hours.
Pack up the bags and throw out the flowers.
I'm sleeping in another hotel room... tonight.
And who do you fall back on,
when this road gets a bit lonely?
Who do you fall back on?
Alarm is going off. It's time for wakin'.
Breakfast down the hall. Pancakes and bacon.
I'm checking out of this hotel room... today.
Back on a plane. Heading on home.
Got just enough time to do a little laundry,
but the runway lights are guiding me back home... today.
And who do you fall back on,
when this road gets a bit lonely?
Who do you fall back on?
Checking my mailbox and reading some e-mails.
Taking a bath and lighting some candles.
I'm sleeping in my very own bed... tonight.
I pack up my bags and set them by the door.
It's still a great joy, but short-lived, I'm sure,
cause I'm sleeping in another hotel room tomorrow night.
I got another show in a few hours.

Wed, September 23, 2009 - 4:27 PMThis is awesome frank!! I bet it does get lonely, but you always have friends in almost every city. That is one benefit of bouncing around the way you do. I only perform once a month or so and it's only within a 2 hour drive or so. -

Re: Who Do You Fall Back On?
Wed, September 23, 2009 - 9:51 PMIt can get lonely sometimes.
From April to Labor day it's been 10 planes, 6 buses, & 2 long car rides doing over 50 days of dance events in over 10 cities across 4 states. I had friends traveling with me for about 7 days of those journies.
October-December is gonna be another solo tour through CA, NV, CO, TX, & DC.
I feel blessed to be able to travel so much & connect with so many people, but sometimes I wish I had someone to share the journey with. Meh... the price I pay for following a dream I s'pose. -

Re: Who Do You Fall Back On?
Thu, September 24, 2009 - 7:22 AMI bet you meet someone in these lonely travels to share your journey with. Sometimes acheiving our dreams is the lonely path, now and again crossing paths with others. Though following our dreams can sometimes seem so costly but the end result is priceless and fullfilling beyond anything we could ever imagine. It gives a richness to our lives that money could never buy. :) -
