DO YOU BELLYDANCE IN THE CAR?

Im always doing stuff in the car, much to my sons dismay. "MOM, ARE YOU BELLYDANCING AGAIN???! HIp drops, stomach rolls, and plenty of arms.

    Yes always practicing belly rolls when I'm waiting at the traffic lights or in a queue. Its also a good time to practice chest slides and drops / lifts. But I have to admit i get really distracted especially when I've got music on!! Just hope I don't crash!!

    I heard somewhere that Egyptian dancers would sometimes dance in chairs to show off that they didn't need to use their feet. I haven't seen it done, though.

    Heck yeah! I figure it's less obvious than in my cubicle (I sit across from two managers). I've gotten caught by neighbors practicing outside while waiting for my dog to do his thing, too.

    ... and of course, I've gotten caught practicing in the restroom in front of the mirror at work. HA!

    always!! chest stuff, arms, LOTS of bellyrolls! its a good place. in my chair at work (they already think im nuts so its ok)

      Hell Yeah! Im not a freak! There are other like me!!! Yay!!! Air zilling at red lights, luring fellow drivers with snakey arms and bust movements and topping it off with a wink! Belly rolls! The car enjoys it as much as I do! Big huggles, VMx

        YEEEES.
        One day I was practicing snake arms at a red light. And out of my side vision I see this little girl in the car next to me, shaking her head and making the crazy lady sign with her finger on her forehead. I doubled over laughing.

    Oh heck yes- It's where I do my best work! I can really work on using *just the muscles* and not the skeletal structure when belted in. I do try not to look into other cars, though, because I'm pretty sure they're wondering what the heck I'm doing!! ;>

      sometimes i get so lost in the music, i'll be at a stop light and be doing some arms and undulations and look out the side window, and the guy next to me quickly looks away. i just smile and go on.......

    Oh girl you better believe I belly dance in the car! I'm always getting funny faces at red lights from people next to me. I just smile and keep on dancing. I also belly dance at my desk and sometimes while walking through various grocery and clothing stores.

    I don't dance in the car, but I choreograph in my head and when I do that my speed drops, cars pass me honking, and then I wake up from my dance reverie and focus on the driving! I knew a woman who practised her zills in the car because no one at home could stand the clanging. As a result she was often seen holds her hands out as if she was hanging onto a steering wheel while dancing. Yoiks! :-P

      that is so funny... practicing zills in the car!

      i love it when a good song (mostly hip hop, but can be anything that inspires me) and then just grooving out in the car. now my vehicle broke down and i have to restrain myself from bellydancing on the lightrail listening to my ipod. i feel myself walk strong and in rythms as i'm heading off to the station. if i have an umbrella i'm often twirling it if not using it. dance follows me around now wherever i go. makes life more entertaining..

      it's funny to watch my shadow as i walk to different music. love music. love music, movement dance, and spinning.

    I do.. One day I was practicing a dance in the car while stuck in traffic... Well the truck drivers LOVED watching. I was completely oblivious.

      ya know, if have to say, and i am maried, so naughty me. but, ive been known to do some chest lift and stuff in the car when i notice someone tasty watching. then I happen to look over and sorta not notice, and then i play all shy..te he. is that wrong?, should i not do that?

        What about on the treadmill at the gym? That's always interesting- the looks you get, I mean. (obviously just the arms and the air zills and maybe mouthing the words that you don't even know the meaning of)
